Represents the specific reason for an initialization failure during database connection or authentication.

The server requested or only supports an authentication mechanism not supported by this driver.
The server sent an unexpected message sequence violating the connection protocol.
A required parameter was missing from what the server sent at login - its authentication challenge, or the session parameters it reports once logged in, search_path among them.
The database server rejected the provided username or password.
The server requested an outdated/unsupported password encryption method (e.g. MD5, Cleartext).
The server version is too old for this driver to support.
A generic connection error occurred before authentication could begin - or the server refused the login for something other than the credentials, too many connections or a database that does not exist among them, with its code in sqlState - or, of several servers listed, none could be used, which details goes through one by one.
The data source had no connection to give, rather than failing to open one - a pool that ran out of time waiting for a free one, most often.
